Is anyone traveling this summer? Or maybe some other plans? I will stay in Sweden during summer, but I might go to Spain in October something.

I might be going to Italy with my cousin, but I'm not too sure about that. Haven't talked to her in a while so I have no idea if she's got the money.

Spain! Very niiiice. But I would say that Sweden is awesome enough. So I have a question: ever since that whole passport thing and euro change have occurred in the EU, I always picture it as being very easy for any european to get around Europe (which makes me very jealous). Not that it was hard before, but now it seems even easier. There are so many countries near each other that you can visit. Have you been to the czech republic. I hear it's very nice!
As for me, I'm not sure if I'll be going anywhere. I'm in school until the end of July because of summer courses. But it's a toss up between Canada (to visit the fam) and Colombia (my parents are going for work-- they're not drug traffickers, lol). -----------

Italy would be so awesome! I really hope you're able to. And if she can' go, let me know because I'll take her place!

I'm in Florida and even though I've never been to Destin, I hear it's very nice. And I've been wanting to go to Cali for a very long time now. Mannn.

Im kind of used to sweden.. but it is nice in the summer, true that.
They still check passports.. .. and when I went to austria they even had security checks when we exchanged flights... ;D
.. and in sweden we still have the "swedish kronor" so I have to exchange when I go abroad.. (but I would love to have euros, I think we will get it eventually.. we are part of EU so.. )
When I exchanged fligth in Amsterdam (after being in the states) they welcomed me "home" though.. and europeans have a special "quick" line.. (similar to what US citizents have when you get into the states).
I want to go to Prag, Ive heard it is beautiful.. and I love czech beer.. It is on my todo list.
Colombia sounds awesome.. have you been there before?
I remember some years ago when you posted this multi picture thread on livejourna (?) from a Europe travel.
Ah hah... well nothing is perfect I guess. I'm always jealous of the quick lines. I'm not an american citizen (or resident for that matter, haha) so I'm always waiting in the long line when entering the US and going over my status in my head. It's pretty stressful but I've been doing it for years now so I guess you sort of get used to it. I just went to renew my license yesterday and even that gets me nervous, haha. The lady was pretty confused as to why I had a social security number when I wasn't a "resident" with a green card. I hate having o explain myself and I've been doing it for far too long. =/ Nope, I've never been to Colombia but I've always wanted to go. Everyone in my fam has been except for me so I think it's about darn time already, haha. Yeah, I've actually been pretty lucky. I've been to europe on four different trips but I've never been to Sweden. Some day I'll go visit you, though. No worries, haha. Europe is very nice and every country has something completely different. ALSO, something important to point out: So here in the states a lot of people only want you to speak english, which I find pretty crazy. It seems a lot of europeans known more than one language. Switzerland has, I think, three official languages and all the little kids knew all three. I was so impressed.

They are nuts in the US.. those damn cards you have to fill in drives me nuts... they are funny too though.. who is stupid enough to answer "yes" on any of those questions... I feel sorry for you that you have to deal with all that bureaucracy.. I thought they were "kinder" to Canadians.
what are your parents working with there? Ha ha.. yes you should come visit me. Stockholm is a nice town to see.
In Sweden most people read at least 2 languages extra in school and you tend to understand languages that are related to your own. (I can understand Norwegian and Danish since they are related to Swedish) I read English and German in school.
I think they even use 4 languages, French, German, Italian and Rätoromanisch (?)
My boss is American though.. and he speaks both Japanese and Swedish.. (but I always speak English to him)

I want to visit Prague but that's because I'm a history nerd and want to see where Heydrich got attacked. >_>
