I'm getting my wisdom teeth taken out soon...so I am a little weirded out by being put to sleep! But anyway, here are my questions.. Are your wisdom teeth taken out? Were you put to sleep? Did it hurt afterwards? Were you the slightest bit scared about being put to sleep? Sorry, I know these are dumb questions, but I have never been put to sleep or have had any kind of surgery done on me before, so Im really nervous about it all. PEACE

I have not had my wisdom teeth taken out, I suspect I do not have much wisdom but I have been anaethestised a few times. I would not worry it is pretty cool, I was asked to count to ten and next thing you know they wake you up with another drug and I practically jumped out of bed and ran round the room, more in verbal sense though(I did not actually jump out of bed).

PEACE I had mine taken out last year. being put to sleep is okay, you don't have to worry about that. you have to keep gauze pads in your mouth for a couple hours to stop the bleeding so that sucks. they should give you something for the pain though. my dentist gave me a painkiller called percocet. that has oxycontin and tylenol in it and works really well, not to mention it makes you feel really dizzy. if you lay down for an hour after taking it, it works alot better. it'll be okay, the gauze bandages are the only bad part
