... well I have not heard it yet.... (just walk idiot walk)
read an article with a guy that has.
This is his first opinion after a listening through:
1. Abra Cadaver: 1,5 min bull race intro. 2. Two-timing touch and broken bones: garage rock rattle. Refrain allready classic. 3. Walk Idiot Walk: hard sway. hit. (I like it too.. ) 4. No pun intended: Iggy & The Stooges,"I got a right" .. killing swede vintage. 5. A little more for little you: Short cut, new york thing.. Julian Casablancas will be jeallous. 6. B is for Brutus: the hives contemporary with The Trashmen ? Surfin Pelle ? 7. See through head: Classic the hives rock.. rake towards Cramps. 8. Diabolic Scheme: ballad.. doesnt work live. Sounds like a bisarr James Brown hymn... recorded at Kraftwerks studio in Düsseldorf. Pelle is sensational.... (Have to hear this.. ) 9. Missing link: Stooges and AC/DC playing in a garage. 10. Love in plaster: Pop oriented twisted outing... prouf of Devo listening. 11. Dead Quote Olympics: Wonderful punk anthem.. sing along chorus. Wreckless Eric and The Boys would have given hip bones for it. 12. Antidote: Characteristic raw final with small fragment of "sympathy for the devil" chorus and mean chewing Vigilante riff..
Over all 30 min long. Short songs. Cocky.

not yet a review but he likes it.

but I dont think they sound anything alike. (non of the 4)
(they just happen to get big at the same time.. haveing a little basic raw older sound.. (well not the strokes isnt that raw really) ... and have a "the" before their names...

agreed. i also think the strokes and the hives tower above the other bands. remember when everyone called those bands the "the" bands? as if no other bands had "the" in front of their name.
