2.29 am, man trapped on ice flake in central Stockholm. Some guy was out walking on the ice in central Stockholm yesterday nigh, he didn't see the icebreaker coming so he got trapped on an ice flake. Luckily someone heard his screams for help so a rescue team could come and help him. Happy ending.
(I wonder if this has happened on more occasions, there are always dead bodies showing up every year during springtime)

Why do people go out on the ice like that?

Why do people go out on the ice like that? I think most people go out on the ice if they feel it is safe.. it is like we are drawn out there.
I try to do it in the daytime though and with people around me so that if I would walk through someone can rescue me.
During night it is more awesome though, because you have the nightlights and stuff, it is beautiful, so I can understand why he was out there..

How would you like to be the first one out there when it thaws and find a body? Grossed out of course,, chocked. Then very depressed when you think it is actually a person with a life ripped away laying there. I hope I will never experience it.
