You're right on that, but what if you can eliminate the environmental conditions that trigger the response already programmed into the genes? It's just as good as removing the gene.

No, TVP aims to change human behavior. There is no human nature.

H.R. 3200, universal healthcare for Americans, let's discuss.
This bill pretty much forces people into the government's healthcare program. You can keep your coverage until it changes, but once it changes, you're in the government healthcare system. Insurance plans change every year, so eventually all Americans will be forced into Obama's healthcare plan. My family can afford healthcare, I don't want, nor need, the government's coverage. I'm not against helping those who cannot afford and want healthcare, but NO ONE should be forced into a healthcare plan they don't want. Also there are some really horrifying things in this bill, like being forced to have a consultation every five years so "An explanation by the practitioner of the continuum of end-of-life services and supports available, including palliative care and hospice, and benefits for such services and supports that are available under this title." In other words, they want you to allow yourself to be killed. If you don't believe me go to thomas.gov and type in the bill's number, then look under "Advance Care Planning Consultation." It gets worse too, like not being able to get treatment if you have downsyndrome and a heart problem (which I believe is associated with downs).

That's how I interpret that part of the bill. They need to clarify then.
